Dr. Vance Schuring and Alysha Schuring are married and co-owners at Denver Sports Medicine. They are committed to improving the lives of every patient treated at Denver Sports Medicine and share the core values of patient satisfaction, accountability, continuous improvement and teamwork.

Vance Schuring: Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. Vance Schuring is a Board-Certified Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine. He is additionally certified as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practionier, certified in Full Body Active Release Technique, FAKTR, McKenzie Disc Protocol, Dry-Needling, Graston, and is certified to perform Sports Physicals. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science-Health Promotion at Central College in Pella, Iowa, and his doctorate degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. As a three-sport athlete in high school and All-American running back in college, Dr. Vance understands the challenges athletes face. He loves to golf, spend time outdoors with his wife Alysha and their son Ryker.

Alysha Schuring: Doctor of Physical Therapy

Alysha Schuring is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, Doctor of Physical Therapy, and Certified Athletic Trainer. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science Athletic Training at Central College in Pella, Iowa and her doctorate degree at The University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa.Alysha was a three-sport athlete throughout high school and continued to play competitive softball throughout her collegiate career. She is an avid runner and enjoys being active and spending time with her husband and family.


Kelly Lovely: Doctor of Physical Therapy

Kelly's passion for orthopedics is rooted in helping people return to activities they love.  Her education placed a strong emphasis on evidenced based practice and manual therapy and she has taken elective coursework in manipulation and in sports physical therapy. Her expertise includes but is not limited to complex spine conditions, post-operative rehabilitation, and overuse injuries. She is an avid mountain adventurer and is especially passionate about fitness and injury prevention for snow sports, cycling, and other outdoor activities. She has developed the frameworks for both rock climbing injury prevention, ski fitness programs, and proper bike fitting.

Mike Marshall: Physical Therapy Assistant

Mike Marshall is a Board-Certified Physical Therapist Assistant and earned his Associate’s Degree at Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, CO. Mike is a Denver native and grew up playing competitive hockey and loving the Colorado Avalanche. At age nineteen Mike was thrown into the world of physical therapy after having spinal cord surgery to remove a tumor. His personal journey allows him to truly empathize with his patients. He enjoys biking and keeping busy at the gym. Mike also has a passion for music and playing his guitar.

Andrea Smith: Licensed Massage Therapist and Massage Manager

Inside and out, it’s all about your body. That’s why Andrea uses both therapeutic massage and natural homemade skincare to bring balance to your body.  After ten years in the health and massage industry, Andrea has learned a lot about how to encourage the body to work at its best through regular bodywork. Over the last decade, she has worked with several elite athletes in the areas of cycling, football, golf, running, martial arts, swimming and triathlons.  Andrea  received her certification as a massage therapist in 2005 from the Institute of Conscious Bodywork in San Anselmo, California. Andrea then went for more advanced training in deep tissue, sports massage, reflexology, myofascial release among others.  Andrea received her certification as an esthetician in 2002. She has begun to teach people about a natural way to healthy skin with homemade products that are free of chemicals. She brings this together so that you can be the very best you can be as you move through your day.


Alicia Allison : Licensed Massage Therapist

Krista graduated from the Denver School of Massage Therapy in 2007. She has worked with a variety of doctors and specializes in trigger point therapy as well as injury work. Growing up with chronic lower back pain herself she wanted to learn a skill to not only better understand herself but have the ability to help others living with chronic/ general pain. She sees massage therapy as one "tool in the tool box" for helping relieve pain, relax the mind, and live an over all more peaceful life. Taking the time to relieve aches and pains; increase oxygen in the body and release tension is a drastic help in creating better quality of life. Krista is a Colorado native, growing up in this beautiful state has given her an appreciation/love for the outdoors. Summer is usually filled with hiking,camping and fishing. Taking this beautiful state in one day at a time.

Robert Carroll: Licensed Massage Therapist

Katie graduated from Naropa University with a degree in Contemplative Psychology. Her belief that the mind and body are connected led her to further her education into the body science of massage.  She graduated from the Chicago School of Massage Therapy in 2010.  Since then she has been working with a variety of clients with needs from relaxation to injury rehabilitation.  Katie teaches in the Iyengar style of yoga to help increase strength, flexibility, and balance.  She is currently working towards her Craniosacral and Structural Integration certification.  In her free time she stays fit doing partner acrobatics.

Lizzie Alcorn: Office and Billing Manager

Lizzie is currently studying Sports Medicine and Dance at Metropolitan State University, and she plans to attend graduate school to become a Physician's Assistant. She has spent time at Warren Tech where she discovered her passion for medicine by earning her EMR and Nurse Aide certifications. She loves working with Denver Sports Medicine because it allows her to explore the world of medicine while working on her degree. When Lizzie is not working or studying, she is pursuing her passion for dance by performing with Park Hill Dance Collective and in Metropolitan State performances.  She is eager to continue to learn more about Physical Therapy and Chiropractic and expanding the knowledge of this great business!
